planning the next fish purchase

so I have a 6' 125 with a PBT, YT, Kole Tang, 2 Clowns, 6 Line, Royal Gramma, and a Bartlett Anthias. I won't be buying anything for the next few weeks but I would like to know what else I can put in.

I would like to get 2 more Bartletts, a mystery wrasse (I know it can be problematic but I would take the six line out if she goes nuts) and maybe a trio of sunburst anthias. is that too much? I know the sunburst a get big, I'm just not sure where I am with the bioload.

Bio load can only be assessed and answered by you. No one else knows how much rock, sand, or how long the tank has been setup or if you have things like a refugium ect. I could have a 125g with a larger or smaller bio load capacity it all depends on available good bacteria to process waste. Also skimmer size and quality of the skimmer will have some outcome on this too

I would love a flame hawk but I have a reef tank with shrimp and other small fish.

How small are the shrimp? I have never seen a flame hawkfish bigger than 4" and given there mouth size, unless you have pistol, anemone or other very small ornamental shrimp you should be fine

I have 2 2.5 inch cleaners and a 2 inch peppermint shrimp. I also have a small bubble tip anenome. why would the anenome be an problem?

Present Bartlett may not accept new bartletts...
Sunburst seem to prefer 'quiet/calm' tankmates

IMO, Get rid of the 6 line while you can...

These have been my experiences as well.

Sunburst anthias dont really get that big either.

Anemone shrimp, not a anemone

Ahh ok that makes more sense to me haha

Really? I thought he wouldn't have a problem with new females. I didn't even think it would be an issue

My Sixline has been nothing but awesome. Ive had her for just about 2 years and I've added a lot of fish after her. I'm not saying she would go nuts, but she hasn't yet.

I thought the sunbursts get to be 5", this isn't the case?

I had a pair of flame hawks quickly destroy a pair of cleaner shrimp that were not very small, those things can hunt.

yeah I'm kind of nervous about that...I haven't had any real issues in my tank and I'd like to keep it that way. flame hawks look like awesome fish with great personalities, but I don't think it's a good idea for my tank.

Sunburst can reach 5" but most top out at 3.5-4"

I wouldn't mind putting a few in my tank if they would stay in the 3.5 range. my only concern would be if they eat pellets or not. right now the tank is auto fed 3 times a day. I only put nori in before the lights come on. if the sunbursts only eat frozen I'm kinda screwed.

They can be weaned to eat pellets but most will want frozen for awhile until they figure it out. My baby Bellus just started eating flakes (would only eat brine prior to this) and that's because she is in my DT and I don't feed frozen all the time. Fish that go hungry a day or two usually accept other foods more readily, but some fish won't accept certain foods no matter how hungry they get. My Quoyi won't touch flakes but loves nori, pellets, and frozen

interesting. I have the exact opposite problem haha. none of my fish will go near frozen stuff, they all eat NLS pellets and/or nori. my royal gramma will eat mysis but for the most part nothing else in the tank will touch the stuff. I would really like to have 2 more Bartletts and a few sunbursts and a mystery wrasse. I think space wise I'd be close to maxed out.

my problem is my 2 clowns hide 99% of the time, the royal gramma pokes out every once and a while, and the bartlet just perches on a rock. I have a 125 and the only things that move are the 3 tangs and the 6 line. I really want to get some active fish in there. you take a few steps back from my tank and it looks like I have a bunch of wet rocks with a few corals.
