Plants for fuge

How much light does a thing like the shaving brush, mangrove plants, halemeda or mermaids fan need? Ebay has 18 watt reef lights for around $30. Would that be enough? Right now I have the home depot flood light setup found on melevsreef.com.

What's wrong with the Home Depot flood light set-up?
I use the same thing with this bulb from Home Depot. Works great.

I just checked out the light set-up you were talking about from www.melevsreef.com and it is the exact same thing I use.
Must have been where I got the idea. The price on the bulb has gone up a little since.
So if you are using that, why change?

I guess I should have rephrased the question. I just wondered if that light was sufficient enough for all of those plants I mentioned.

It should be. I'm not sure about the mangrove, having never had one. The light that i am talking about is 75watts. Most refugiums tend to be fairly shallow(under 14" of water generally).
I you have a deeper one maybe something a little stronger.
I believe that the one you have now is better than the 18watt light you saw on ebay.
