Plants in the display

Do any of you have plants in your main display? I know corals are the main focus, but there are some interesting plants out there that would be a nice addition to a reef tank.

Some of them, like halimeda, mermaid's fan plant, or some varieties of kelp are not typically consumed by fish, so they could possibly work.

Just curious if anyone has tried a planted reef tank.

I've done halimeda and it looks nice and is easy to remove, does suck up calcium a bit.

On my 375 FOWLR, I'm debating throwing in a bunch of algaes for natural foods/grazing, versus the plain dry rock look.

Macro algaes are the new cool trend and they look awesome. I guess we are learning from the freshy guys
