that white plastic "egg crate" material that people use as a screen to prevent algae from getting into the DT.... where can I find that stuff?

Thanks,

Ben

Lowes or Home Depot. It is used as a diffuser for fluorescent lighting, so it will be in the isle with the other ceiling panels. It is different in every store. It comes in a large sheet and you can get it in black, white, or silver. If the employee does not know what you mean when you say "egg crate", ask where to find the lighting panels for drop ceilings.

This white stuff?

If so your local hardware store should carry it (ex. Homedepot, Lowes, etc)

Wow. Thanks guys. That's the stuff. Patrick, I live in Surprise, so I will just get some from Home Depot. Thanks for the offer though!

id use the black stuff... LFS's sell it but its way more expensive than the white... the white gets all nasty and leaches PO4, so stick with the black. Depending on how much you need i have some you can have if you'd like...the peice i have is like 18"x12" so it sounds like it might be all you need...i live in avondale and should be here most of tomorrow if you want it.... LMK

How come the black doesnt leech anything?

I thought, and I could be totally wrong, that it all leeched stuff unless you painted/sealed it. So you buy the white and seal it black. Where as the black is just the same material with a dye in it?

I should add, from home depot or normal stores. I would imagine LFS's sell a non-leeching set up, hence why tis more expensive?
