Platform for live rock

Looking for advice on how to build a platform to set my live rock inside my new tank. Searching for threads and articles, I learned that elevating the rock with pvc pipe stands is a good idea, so I plan to set up the rock on an elevated platform and let it cure then add in the substrate and let the tank cycle.

My new tank is a 28 gal bowfront. I've had an 8 gal nano tank for awhile and am excited about the extra space! Any suggestions on how to build a platform (pictures would be great too!) and any design ideas for aquascaping would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks - I'll see what I can find in the DIY section on building a platform.

Any thoughts on when to add sand when curing LR? I've read that some wait so it's easier to remove detritus during the curing process. Others seem to go ahead and add the sand then place the LR.

I was wondering the same thing about the sand as i already put sand in my tank and am now getting uncured live rock to add. I will be keeping the sand in and will let you know how it goes. PM me later if I forget. I should have the live rock in this weekend.

Use light diffuser (egg crate) from the HD and zip ties. get creative.
