Plating coralline

Does anyone have pics of it plating in their tank? Plating meaning almost Monti. Cap. - like..... but on a smaller scale?

I dont have a pic of it but it looks almost like a flower.... if you know what i mean.. I have found that it most commonly comes with figi live rock

I know exactly what you mean (Of course, no pic). PhisyBusiness had (or may still have) some of their Premium Liverock covered in it. It was essenjtially a skeleton of pollicipora completely covered in coralline until it had no where to grow except by plating out. Just like a monti. I tried to take a picture but it wouldn't come out right. My camera (and me) suck at pics.

No pics here either, but keep in mind that it's paper thin at the edges. So the best way to get it to plate / swirl is to keep your hands out of the tank.

I also have no pictures, but i found that mine (which is growing on a regular piece of fiji LR) likes the high water flow. It is growing on a rock that is right in front of a return from a sequence dart. I mean it is being blasted, and continues to grow out further into the current.

im going to post a picture when i get home but i have some thats growing on Kailini tonga rock from premium aquatics. its kind of annoying because its trying to grow over some zoa. but it does look cool.

FWIW I broke up that big chunk of coralline in my pic and now it's growing in different areas of my aquarium.

I have a question. No pics here but I've got some that looks like the pic above but is orange. Is this a form of coraline or something else? Thanks

These are from about a year ago. It's really starting to get out of control on this rock now.

Not kidding. Went to college my first year and left my tank back home with mostly just LR and some 'shrooms. Came back home at winter break to find this beautiful, delicate 2-3" coralline whorl. Tried to bring it back to school with me to place in my new tank, but they don't take to airplane travel so well...
