Please Advise Me On Potential Clown Purchase

Bill, here is the web site for them: http://www.coralreeftampa.com/ I've been going there since back when I was into freshwater. Coral selection is not on par with FAOIS or CC, but they have a good selection of nice healthy fish and are nice people. They always seem to have some sort of crazy eel or something to keep this kids occupied too!

Anyways, back on topic, here is a quick pic of the pair I picked up. When introduced to the tank, they explored for about an hour then settled in to my purple tip hammer. Sometimes they go visit the frogspawn and hang out in it for a while. Is this normal for them to host in two different corals?

These fish are amazing, I can't believe I waited so long to get clown fish.

*Disclaimer* Yes I know I should quarantine, but I don't, really don't need a discussion on this topic.

Oh, their names are "Silly Pants" and "Galoshes". We told the kids they needed to come up with something original and forbid them from naming them Nemo lol.

Israel, that's a GREAT looking pair of occi's & cool that they already dove into frogspawn & hammer corals! It took my b/w occi's 6 mos. to move into the h. crispa. It's not uncommon for them to have a few hosts...Mine went back & forth from their sebae to the LTA. btw, cool names, too...Thank your kids for not naming them Nemo...;) Thanks for the info on the store, too, & good luck w/ the clown pair!

Israel - great looking pair. Keep us posted on how they are doing. I recently added a pair to the tank as well. Funny how daughters can get you to do things....:twitch:

Thanks everyone, I think they're great too!

KRBNSOL, sometimes kids have the best ideas!

The clowns seem really happy still, and now they're eating pretty much anything I put in the tank. Even my daughter noticed they are always together and she thinks it's cool how they much love each other (much different than my attempt at buying a pair of firefish lol). Are they already bonded together or is this the beginning of the bonding process? Do they look old enough to have acquired a sex yet?

Thanks everyone for all the advice in this thread, it really helped me out a lot!

Figure I'd post an update on these clowns, in case anyone is interested. Silly Pants has been making aggressive advances toward Galoshes, and Galoshes is completely submissive (doing the sideways twitchy thing). So it seems from what I've read that they are taking on their male/female roles. They're awesome to watch.

One question though, I have read about increased clown aggression when they start spawning. Am I going to have trouble with my firefish once they start laying eggs? The firefish seems to keep them at a distance now as it is, but the clowns have shown no aggression to him.

Ok...so it's been awhile, but we have agreed to name the clown fish Frankie and Lola. For the Parrotheads out there...you know where this came from!

Those are pretty cool names! Ours still seem really happy, they don't stay in the corals much though, they swim around the tank all day and just use the corals as like a home base. Here are a couple of pics:
