I agree with all the flash comments, but I have a real hard time getting the right coloration if I don't use the flash. I'm running 3x 250w 14K bulbs and everything turns out too blue or has a dark washed out look. I'm not sure how I can solve this without the flash...

What camera are you using? You should be able to do a spot white balance. I will see what I can do with a little editing and post my own version later. But I would give the photo a 7. It looks too over sharpened, and I think the levels need to be adjusted a little more. Also try reducing the ISO if you can (i know that makes a good photo that much harder to get) but it will help reduce your noise quite a bit. Still pretty decent photo in all, IME fish are the hardest to get good photos of.

The Camera is a Canon S2 IS. I've never played with the manual white balance settings. I'm not sure how to go about doing that. I'll do some investigating and hopefully figure it out. I'm pretty sure the ISO on the original picture is 50, so I don't think I can go any lower than that. If I had a tripod it would probably help alot too.

us200ua,

Looks good, I like seeing what other people can pull off using the same original picture.

Like gho suggested, try not to use flash, use higher ISO. Works for me. I just started 200G. This is my best shot so far:

I messed around with this picture some more. I used mgregg99's idea of blacking out the side. I then played with the colors a bit and toned the sharpening down. I like this picture better than the first I posted.
