as a preventative measure I decided since my ich was gone I would make sure it was! so , I started using chem marin stop parasite last night, well , overnight it killed 6 fish, a cleaner shrimp and raised my ammonia.............. luckily I caught it in time and started fixing the problem before I lost everything...... anyway, just wanted to share that..... the fish I worked so hard to cure of ich just got killed by a ich treatment who's main ingredient is pepper based and food based........ I called them and of course it is impossible according to them for this to kill fish... go figure, well, it did! mike

yes, but this thread is simply to alert everyone else to a product that is evidently not safe in fact killed fish............

also... since i put this crap in i have done a 25 gallon water change, all the perimeters are good but the fish left are still breathing hard.... what should i do? the water still smells like that pepper crap............ i am so mad that i trusted this stuff and it killed my fish and they will not take any responsibility!

i just read that it can raise the acid level to a point where it can kill fish.............. so, if that is tru what should i do? this just taught me a valuable lesson, dont trust reef safe treatments.

run alot of fresh carbon and do more water changes also make sure skimmer is tuned properly in order to remove as much toxins as possible replace carbon every 3 day or so with fresh carbon to ensure you are removing as many toxins as possible
