I will give you a good reason.

The tank or sump is plumbed for a specific pump. To change pumps may require a bunch of plumbing changes or may not fit the footprint of the original setup. May not even be possible without plugging holes (messy and a new source of failure) in a sump and drilling new ones.

And it's just getting worse since the new show barter kings got ideas in people's heads. Tried bartering my completely tricked out trx250r wheeler with over 6k invested on cl since I knew I couldn't get my money back... one guy wanted to trade a craftsman chainsaw that was like new straight across. Then got mad at me for saying that he would need 20 or 30 of them to have a chance.

On the other hand I just sold my motorcycle on cl and didn't have to pay a dime to list and now have more money to blow on my tanks! Yay cl! Lol
