Please HELP! Ants in my pants!!

Or at least in my sofa! I have no idea why and from where they came but, I have ants that seem to be living IN the loveseat. I'm not that great of house keeper but come on! Problem is it's right by the tank. Any thoughts on what I can use or do to get rid of the little buggers? It is a sueded leather sofa so it as be something "leather-safe" so to speak too. Thanks Gang.

Take it into another room and remover the cambric (or dust cover) and see if you can figure out where the ants are living. You might bomb it with some moth balls (if you can get their little legs apart...) and let it sit for a few days. Then remove the moth balls and let it sit for a few more days to air out.

Very easy solution

Go to lowes or anywhere that sells ant killer, get a bottle of "syrup" that is ant killer. Put spots of it on small pieces of cardboard and place it in the path the ants walk in (they always follow the same path)

The syrup is a poisen that they love to eat but it doesnt kill them quickly. They take it back to where the other ants are and feeds it to them also, thereby killing the whole colony

Works like a charm everytime we get ants in the kitchen, they surround the stuff to eat, and a few days later they are all gone

No cover that I can remove. I flipped it upside down yesteday and looked at it. No signs anywhere. I used the shop vac on it all over inside and out and flipped it back. It seemed ok but then today at lunch I saw them again. Both sides of this thing recline so the underside is all open. I can't imagine where they would hide..?...I also have a rather open floor plan and really no where else to "treat it". I did consider putting it in the garage but that wouls a LOT of work...gotta be an easier way.

The baiting is the way to go. It takes a little longer but you dont have to worry about the fish or the sofa.

you could always set the couch on fire.. thats usually fun.. but it might hurt the leather and i
d prob do it outside. also, i've got a shotgun if you need. but i get to squeeze off a few rounds too. lol
