Please help diagnose Queen angel - pics inside

This is my brother in laws' Queen angel. He has had it about 3-4 weeks roughly. It began with a very small white patch on it's tail and has spread to what you see in the picture. Dr.'s F&S said it sounded like ich and he treated with copper 12 days ago and has not had any improvement. He says the fish is still eating really well. It looks like a fungus. What is it and how should it be treated?

I'm pretty sure that's bacterial, fin rot or something close. Pull the fish to quarantine and I think the medication of choice would be Maracyn used as per saltwater directions, but wait for a second opinion: I haven't ever had a saltwater fish get that stuff, and haven't had to medicate in a long time. I don't trust my knowledge to be current.

Thats lymphocystis.
viral disease, completly harmless unless on the mouth stopping feeding. It will go away on its own in time. No treatment for it.

Yes, that is Lymph..

You need to keep up good water quality too.

And a good diet.

Classic lymphocystis. Copper will only make this worse because it suppreses immune function. Treat with low stress, water quality, vitamins, Selcon and a wider variety, improved diet.
