Please help Donut Coral

I have had this beauty for years but recently my copperband started picking at it which is when I should have done something but didn't. I finally noticed it was receding and now have the copperband in a fish trap. Now the coral is loosing its flesh. My question is there any chance it will survive or should I just remove it and release my copperband??

Try a dip like ReVive or others, that may help.

If you want more donuts, don't release the copperband, itll probably do the same with everything else.

Also try feeding it, If it doesn't eat, something is wrong, and it may not get better

Ive seen fish eat my corals when their unhealthy(which this isn't necessarily the case), which may be a LFS quality problem or just a matter of your water quality or not feeding it.

BTW, whats your LFS, I may be able to tell you my experiences with them and their quality of coral(if that may also be the problem) if you live within Toronto anywhere to Windsor :)
