PLEASE HELP! Filtration needed for 220G

I am setting up a tank for a Epaulette Pup 12-14in. ( I know I will need larger later, but for now due to lack of space in my current home I will have to stick with a 220G ) The filtration I have currently is a Ocean Clear ln line Canister filter, 40g Refugium with Chaetomorpha, Kent Marine Nautilus EX 24in., and around 150lbs. of LR. I am willing to make as many improvements necessary to insure a good home for the pup and other fish until it has a larger tank...I have read "Sharks and Rays" and have done the reaserch on the hobby of shark keeping and what it intails but most of the readings are inconsistant on filtration. It just says to make sure and have good water quality.

All Ideas welcome!!

I would get yourself a better skimmer then the one you have on your list! Sharks and rays are messy eaters. The canister filter will help but you have to clean those out once a week if not more.

Go with the biggest most expensive skimmer that you can afford.
