Please help ID this

I have this green brownish mushroom-like organism growning on my rocks. It's spreading. It's flat and fairly thin. I can break them off easily.
What are those? Harmful?
Is there a way to control their spread?

Looks like an alga to me. If so, they likely won't be harmful unless they overgrow corals. Algae usually can be controlled by removing their nutrient source. Less feeding, better skimming, or growing and harvesting a macroalga might all be useful,. Some hand-pruning might do the trick as well.

Lobphora Variegata, I havent much luck researching controls. Possibly like Bertoni said you could try harvesting macro to compete for nutrients. Here's a link for a little more info.

Thanks for the info. I did a search on Lobphora and came up with a picture that looks like what I have.

It looks like I have to remove them manually. They are growing a bit out of control.
