I have this algae growing on my rock and have never seen this before, if anyone has seen this please let me know what it is. It's brown translucent soft balloon like. It sometimes stretches out and elongates. It is well mounted to the rock. If I knew what it was I can then deal with it. All tank parm. are in check. NO3 is under 5, and PO4 is .01 on a Hanna.

The picture is blurry so it's hard to get an ID. Do they move? It looks like flatworms to me. Do they look like this:

No they are not flatworms, these this are firm to the rock and will not blow off. Actually last night some of them elongated like sweepers.

See if you can get a picture of them elongated. They sure look like some kind of weird algae, but maybe they are some kind of hydroid/nem.

I'm going to try to get a pic tonight when they elongate. No clowns, this is a new setup and the 3 wrasses in there have only been there for 2 weeks. There is not even a cleanup crew in there yet, not till I can figure out what I'm dealing with.

Page 593 of the Reef Aquarium Volume 3 book has a picture of a Tunicate that looks very similar to what you have. So my guess is Tunicate.
