This is an 8 y/o rabbit fish - All fish removed from main display for ich about 4 months ago and treated first with Hypo for 6 weeks and then with Cu for 3. And nothing for a while, keeping the DT fish free. This is the 4th day of prazipro without results. Stopped eating 3 weeks ago - otherwise acting OK. Bumps developed on the side and now white growths are protruding.
Please see Photos. All other fish seem OK.

I don't know what it is, but while diving here in FL when the water temp rises in the summer many angelfish develope something that looks like what I see in the photo. I have collected the fish with these bumps and have lanced the bumps and what appears to be puss (like from a pimple) comes out. The sore then has healed well, with the bumps not returning, but I don't have any idea of what causes it. Also the fish that I kept never went off food.

So I decided to add forma-green... I left for about 4 hours and when I returned the bumps were flat and the white stringy material protruding from them is gone. Problem is that the medication seems to have the same effect on the fish. Or there was too much disease burden and killing it all overwhelmed the fish. It is now lying on the bottom with rapid breathing. I would love to know what I am dealing with. I imagine that all of the fish are potentially affected. If you have seen before please let me know.

Thanks

For anyone that may run into this in the future -

SAPROLEGNIA - Is my probable diagnosis and what I believe this fish succumbed to. Much more common in Freshwater fish - though this fish recently went through hypo. The Copper then likely decimated its immune system and the fungus took hold. Plus this fish was way too big for the 90 gal hospital tank and couldn't swim. From further reading, I found a description that states - a halo of bleached or faded tissue will form around the cotton like fungus. Exactly what I saw and is show above.

Also found that Malachite Green is a possible treatment.
