Please Help Identify

Hello,

I've only started my saltwater aquarium for roughly 4 months so I'm still pretty new to this. Last night, I noticed this black dot on my rocks. Looking closely I saw that it moved.

I tried removing it from the rock to put it into a small jar but it started to spread to hold on to more surface and opened up in the middle like the 2nd picture.

Can someone please tell me what they think this is and if it is harmful to the inhabitants of the reef tank (2 tomato clowns and 1 fox face)

Scutus - it's a limpet. Perfectly harmless.

Where was the live rock collected?

It doesn't seem to bother any of the corals and fish so far so I think I'll let him stay in the aquarium.

I brought from my LFS so I have no idea where it was collected from.
