Can someone please help me ID this coral. My husband brought it home from our LFS and I have no idea what it is.

looks like a leather of some kind

Yep a leather soft coral. Not SPS.

I'll take a stab in the dark and guess Sinularia maxima. Can't say for sure with being able to see the lil spindles.
