So I have a 55 gal SW tank that has been set up for about 4 months. About 50 pounds LR and 60 LS. Stock is a goby, clown, damsel, pistol shrimp, two peppermints, some corals and CUC. I am very limited on space so it is kind of hard to do WC etc. i have been doing a pretty good job as all levels are good as far as i know. But my question is I have a 10 gal FW tank also. Would it be possible to swap them without an issues? Can everything in my 55 fit into a 10? My ten is a bery basic setup with a HOB filter etc. please lmk your opinions.

It would be a permanent set up. I can rehome the damsel.

The only thing I would consider is the goby/ pistol in the 10g. Personally I would just do an invert only tank in a 10g.
To answer the question if you took some cycled rock from the 55g and put in the 10g then you could probably do a swap.

The clown and the damsel both are territorial and will most likely claim the entire tank for their own. Both fish are on the aggressive side and the smaller the tank the more the aggression will be pronounced.
Once a deep sand bed and a lot of rock are added then the actual water volume may only be about 5g. The smaller the water volume the lower the amount of oxygen that will be available. I would suspect daily or every other day water changes will be needed. With a lot of rock I suspect flow will be an issue and would not be surprised if cyano became problematic.
These are just a few things of the top of my head. I may be wrong but you seem to have made your mind up already. Just my 2 cents.
Oh I definitely did not make up my mind yet. I really appreciate your input. Right now I am looking over all my options.

Unless you have some experience in SW, You might have a hard time with such a small system. You will be spending a lot more time testing and changing water OR flushing fish and restocking

My apologies then. A lot of folks come on and are just looking for someone to say it is ok to do something.
I think the goby/pistol or just an invert only tank with some critters like sexy shrimp, porcelain crabs and a few easy corals would be easier to maintain and have a higher chance of success.
