please help my chevron tang

Can anyone tell me how to treat this tang? I will try and describe the issue. It appears that he is not able to close his mouth anymore and eat food normally. He wants to eat and tries but he cant bite or swallow any food it just comes back out of his mouth. It seems that his mouth is just stuck. He does occasionally close it but it seems very difficult for him. The QT tank is just finishing up a round of Ick Shield CP. He initially showed some kind of stringy stuff attached to him that looked like white strings but that has now gone away. No idea what to do or treat him with for this. Here is how he was before the CP treatment..notice "stuff" on him but his mouth was normal.

I had a freshwater fish that couldn't close his mouth, my lfs said it's jaw was locked and it would go away on its own which it did but came back now a then. How long has she been like this?

If I remember correctly my fw fish had his mouth open for a few days before it went away. I would just make sure no one is picking on her and her water quality is excellent. She may need to be treated for parasites, I like prazipro and paraguard treatments but if she were mine I would wait and just give her a no stress environment. Good luck

Already did complete 1 treatment of prazi..thats when the "stuff" appeared on him. Its a waiting game right now as it is. There are 4 other fish in with him, all are doing fine and there is no aggression between anybody.
