Was cleaning my tank yesterday with magnet cleaner and the wet side came off and fell directly on top of my neon green nepthia. Today its looks blackish and not very good. Heres a pic. Its the one in the very front. You can see a few of the tips is still green but 90% of it is a blackish/grayish color.

Is it a goner? What can i do to help it recover if possible? I would hate to lose another coral after everything is doing good again. Thanks for the help.

Ittle be fine you just Ticked it off. Having a mag flot land on it would'nt do any damage. Give it a few days ittle be good as new.

Wasn't a mag float but one of those heavy sure grip magnets i modified to a scrubber. Those suckers are heavy!

It looks upset.

Make sure water quality is in good shape, and make sure it is getting good water flow to help purge all the mucus, etc.

Watch for tissue break down and frag the healthy tips immediatly if it starts.

I second that. It already looks like early tissue necrosis though. I would just frag the good tissue while you have the chance to save it.
