I have had a pair of snowflakes for about 4 months. When I got them they were very thin and I was starting to fatten them up but one of them has started to eat less and less lately, It still goes for the food but spits most of it out I have tried every type of food I can find but it wont eat. anybody have any ideas.

Thanks

i had a clown that did that.....maybe it needs a smaller sized food? try soaking the food in garlic. ummm...does it have stringy feces? if the fish wasn't feeling well and it's immune system is weak an internal parasite could have taken hold. is it being out competed by the other clown.

Did you introduce any new fish in lately? If so, they might've introduced some kinda disease, I'm thinking. Why don't you try quarantining this guy in a tank of its own. That way, if it is sick, you could treat accordingly. And if it's not, than at least you can give him time to fatten up, eat all the food he wants w/o being outcompeted by other fish. Also, is he turning out to be the male? If so, maybe he's being picked on by the bigger one who's turning into/is a female.

I feed mine frozen shrimp thing, I think its rods reef? he seems to enjoy it. though it doesnt sound like the food is really the issue, after all, a snowflake is just a clown, and clowns are anything but finicky eaters AFAIK.
