Please help, tang with two fluffy dots

Good evening

I have recently purchased a yellow tang and after a day of being in my tank I noticed little white spots, in fear of it being ich i QT the tang and began treatment. He is now nearly two weeks in but I have noticed the two little white spots have gone fluffy like very small bits of cotton wool and I'm not confident anymore this is ich. He has one on the left side of his head and one on the left fin.

Any advice would be great!

Sorry the pictures aren't great but he is extremely camera shy.

Also to note

No signs of rubbing or itching and until he went in the QT tank he was eating well. He is still eating but not as much currently but this could be stress related.

Thanks in advance!

Steve

It does look like that, but it may be wise to watch him for a bit. The frustrating part is the best treatment for lymphocystis is simply being in the best conditions possible, aka your display.

Lymphocyst no treatment generally won’t kill fish unless it grows on gills or mouth preventing fish from feeding. It’s viral it is contagious it’s also very common. Should see spot drop off around 14 days
