Please keep in mind our apartments are 8 years old. My boyfriend went and did something that was supposed to be nice, but it is scaring me. We live on the 2nd floor of an apartment building. He brought home 9 HUGE pieces of glass. We weighed them and they weigh nearly 700+ pounds. It is on the same wall as my 150 gallon freshwater aquarium. He assures me he knows what he's doing blah blah blah. Well, he's told me that before and what happens, disaster!!!!! I am afraid that this glass he brought home, is going to send our apartment downstairs. I told him he could accidentally kill someone. This is in the dining room where he is keeping it. It's only 8 feet away from my 150 gallon fw. That thing has nearly 200 pounds of eco complete in it. Add all that up. That's a lot of pressure for a floor. PLUS I am going to be adding the Saltwater 40 gallon tank with, about a 39 gallon sump/refugium. I have 100 pounds of sand (I am not sure if I am going to use it all) and I will have at least 65 pounds + of LR on the opposite internal wall. Now, are we going to break through the floor? He said it's for a future tank. It's going to be years before we can even buy a home to put the monster reef in. OYE! He got it for free. That's why he brought it home. I am really worried and stressing about this. Can you please help?
I have to put the reef on the internal opposite wall because there is no more room on the structural external wall.
