Please help. Weird clownfish behavior

Hi guys,

About a month ago, I added a small black and white occillaris clownfish. A few weeks ago I added another small one with him. They seemed happy together for about a week. Now, the first one has been displaying some odd behavior the past 5-6 days. He has been hanging stictly around the bottom lower corner of the tank and not eating. He swims very slowly in this corner and pretty much stays there. I woke up this morning to find him lying on his side. I thought he was dead, so I tapped on the glass corner and he got up and started swimming. He seems healthy and has no visual signs of any disease. Any ideas what is going on here? He seemed very active before I added the second clown and was for a week after.

Where did you get the fish? Reliable source? You may want to go back and ask them if there was a problem with any others

A few years ago, I bought a "Mated" pair of Percs, and they displayed the same behavior yours are. The smaller was shoved to the corner, and eventually had to be removed and put in QT again to fatten him up. He was then returned to the tank, but it still didnt work out. He went to a friend and is doing great in the tank alone.

This seems to be the same case as yours. Since he has been in qt, his activity level has returned to normal and he is eating.
