Please help with direct connect

Hi Curt,


I'm having problems with ACII that wont connect to my labtop. Please help.
I'm using the Lite version. ACII selftest pass. RS232 enable. Login disable. Here a pic of my serial card

Then i enter the serial # from ACII selftest> config tab > (if serial port 1 selected then status is idle and i got not respond message) > so i change it to serial port 3

I have this display

Thought it work so i click status> reeftank

About 3 mins later i got this mesage

i'm very new with this so please help. Thanks John.

Correction..help with serial connection not..direct. Sorry.

Here are some things to check:

- Make sure that the device driver for the serial adapter correct is installed, and the serial port is working correctly. See the device manager in the system control panel. Check 'ports COM & LPT'. Set AquaNotes to use the serial port # reported here.
- If you are not using the serial cable we sell, make sure that it has thre required connections - see http://www.neptunesys.com/hardwareFAQ.htm#CABLE

In your second picture there is an input area to add the serial number of the controller. Add this and your controller will talk to your computer.
