Please help with ID

Several of my astrea snails have this white/clear tube like stuff growing on their shells. There are also several patches now on my liverock. There are a couple really bad photos of it in my photo gallery. I'm sorry about the photos, but after about 50 attempts to get a good photo, I gave up.

My first guess would be a sponge, less likely a tunicate. Pictures of small animals are very difficult, but without one, it's hard to be sure. I wouldn't worry, though, in any case.
