Torch Coral is dying please help. Tank has been up a approximately 6 months

Ph 8.0 (I know it's a little low)

Tank info: 75 gallon mixed reef ,65 lbs lr, 25 gallon sump sock filter reef octopus skimmer
Inhabitants: 2 ocellaris clowns, royal gamma, Kolo tang, algae Benny, coco worm, 2 emerald crabs, blue legged hermits and sum margarita snails as cuc.
Condy anemone. Zoan polyps, mushroom (not sure kind)

What kind of lights and how old are the bulbs? Why are you holding it and how often do you fool with it?

Your ph is fine, nitrates and phosphates need trace amounts. Has it ever been fed since in your care?

I'm pretty sure he's just holding it to take a picture.

I only did that to get a decent pic of it.

Lights im not 100% on. Leds. White and blue. My friend had bought them about 9 months ago. He had the tank set up with corals galore. When he died i inherited his setup. So im not sure on the lights.

I did notine a week or so ago some one had knocked him over. Could he have got hurt in the fall?

Place it in the sand where it has low to med flow and low to med light. My comment about you holding it was that when we pick them up they tend to retract a bit. LOL

Its been in here two months

Sometimes torches, hammers, bubbles and the like take a while to show shipping damage that occurs between the collector and the LFS, or between the LFS and your house. Corals with nice sharp skeletons underneath the tissue don't take much mishandling to tear and damage the tissue... and just like people it seems like they can put up a good fight trying to recover for quite a while.

It might just be something that happened before you even bought it. Only thing you can do is keep water conditions as pristine as possible and cross your fingers.
