Please help

This swelling has been going on for about a month or maybe a little more now. It seems to be getting larger now. Can anyone tell me what this is and what is the cause? I don't have parameters currently.

If your referiing to that black spot it's probably just a sponge or tunicate of some sort.

Yeah, that is what I was talking about, so ok to leave as is? Doesn't seem to me hurting the polyps. They still look bright and healthy.

Yeah, I would just leave it. Sponges are pretty easy to remove if you ever want to later though. Just grab it with your fingers and pull. GL.

Id use a scaple if you intend to remove the sponge but it wont hurt anything if you leave it .
