Please help

So I am trying to cycle this 144 gal tank I have used live sand to start the
Cycle and a couple peices of lr and also added a lot of dead live rock (don't know if that was smart or not ) tanks been going about 3 weeks and I just don't know if it's doing the right thing. It looks like it's growing some sorta brown algae I will add pics the tank has been filled with 100 percent ro water just don't know what to do or anything at this point if some one could give me some advice of what I should do or shouldn't have done that would be great thanks for the time let me know what you guys think or is this normal to happen when you bring live rock back to life

Yep, perfectly normal in a cycling tank. Are you tracking your water parameters to see how your cycle is progressing? Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate?

Okay perfect just got a bit worried never new if that was suppose to be happing lol and yes I have last time tested ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate extremely high can't rember what it was but I did a 60 gal water change
