I have this pair for a little more than year. Both of fishes were about 1" when I've purchased them. Now female is about 3.5" and the male is 2". They've created a pair and I hope will spawn soon
Judging from the photograph I think Marina thinks that your clownfish has some kind of infection (dark patches on the front white stripe). However I don't think anything is wrong and that it is just an incomplete white stripe that are seen on many tank bred clownfish.
FWD = Freshwater Dip, I don't think your clownfish is in need of one.
Marina, you are an expert in clownfish and I am not. However, the fish seem healthy and fat to me. While this does not mean that she does not have internal parasites, FWD will not treat internal parasites.
Marina,
Are you talking about the black spots on the 1'st white strip? Those spots are not changing since she was juvenile.
Can it be that the parasite wasn't removed by anemone?
I'm asking all those questions because I prefer not to disturb this pair, they laid eggs or the 1'st time on Friday and I'm afraid such disturbance will interrupt their spawning.
