Hey guys please take a look at my clown he has a couple of bumps on hime. They have been there 3 days. He does not have them anywhere else. I have been soaking his food in garlic the last couple of days. He acts fine and he eats like a little clown piggie:) Let me know what you think please I am a newbie.
 
bttrfly you do not think this is ich then? Is there anything that could help clear up what you think it could be? I bought melafix, but have not used it. A friend told me it was a good general medication that is reefsafe and wold help with most minor problems that may occur. How long would it take this lymph virus to clear if that is what it is?
 
Its a virus, no cure but does not kill either. Clean water, good diet will help but the nodules often dissapear on their own..Melafix won't help
 
Hey guys one of the little bumps looks a little bigger. Looks like 4 grains of salt stuck together. Still think this is the same thing? Still acts normal eats great. Did water change today. All chem levels have stayed stable.
 
I would use a combination of pimafix and melafix, seems to clear things such as this in no time, but be sure to turn off your uv and protein skimmer if you have them.
 
Hey trigger. I just got home and while I was gone to work lfs told me grains of salt is ich. They said sounded like minor case and reccomended ich attach. It is all natural safe for reef. Ingredients are natural herbals containing naphthoquinone. Can you look at the prime and tell me what is in it? Also I have melafix, but have not used it. Lfs said is not helpful to ich that it is for bacterias not parasites. Do you think I should use melafix with this ich stuff? What do you mean by turn of uv? Lights? Thank you for your time.
 
That looks too large to be ich and I suspect lympho.

I would not recommend purchasing melafix, primafix, or whatever magic potient your LFS is recommending ... isn't going to have any impact on lympho or even ich for that matter .. just going to shrink your wallet.

Hey guys please look again. This is a bump not a flat white spot. Only bumps in the 2 same places has been like 5 days. Not sick eating and acting normal. Sorry I took like 50 pics is so hard to get a clear pic of a moving little fish:(
 
HELLO BTTRFLY:) My first respondant is back:) I was up till 3 am reading and I could not find anything that looked like mine, but I agree with you its lympho. Ich also did not look like mine. It is hard being a newbie. I think we will just be a 2 clown family. I have been to upset and worried about these little guys that I don't think I will risk adding more fish.
 
The second post is not one I had seen. I will call around and try to find the vitamin supplement today:) My water levels have all stayed steady, but I have had him not quite 2 weeks so I don't know what the little guy had before. I appreciate everyones time.

Hey bttrfly should I be running carbon? It did not come with my setup and I know nothing about it, but I have people say they run carbon a lot. If I should what should I know? LFS are all closed because of the holiday. Going to try again tomorrow. Bumply clown still looks the same no bigger no smaller.
