I have a week left after QT'ing my fish for 6 weeks and treating with cupramine, next week will be 7 weeks. I have a valentini puffer, 4 chromis, fire fish, lawnmower, and a pink spot goby. I know not to drop them all in at once...but can anyone share how they did it?

to keep the bacteria load up, have you been feeding the tank even though you were fallow?

i'd just match up the specific gravity and temp, then put the fish right on over. thats not much of a bio-load you have, so it should be fine...

thats what i did with my emperor juvie and blueface... both fish are about 4".

Cool, thank you. Yeah, not much of a bioload....and they are very small to boot. I have been feeding the tank. I have a fire shrimp and a pistol runnin around in there.

i put my bellus angel and three anthias right back in the DT.

I feel if you have enough LR and the tank is mature, it should handle the bioload just fine.

Perform a couple 50% water changes from the display to QT so they'll be acclimated and ready to transfer. Use a specimen cup to remove the fish from the QT tank, drain the water off and transfer them to the display. Feed lightly for the first couple weeks to allow the bacteria to catch up to the added bioload and you should be good to go!
Hope that helps:)

Excellent idea. I will start performing some small water changes now into the QT. I am going to add another Flame Angel. Should I wait awhile or do the addition simultaneously?

I would wait. Let your bio load catch up. Make certain your other fish are doing good. Is the flame angel ready to come out of QT?

The flame angel was the initial culprit. He didn't make it unfortunately. I am going to pick up another one. ike you said, I'll wait for the bioload to evn up prior to adding him.

Be sure to add your Flame Angel to the Quarantine tank so you won't get yourself back in the same fix with Ich in your Display again.

Don't add it to the QT if you have other fish in there already. Finish the treatment, clear them first then perform another round, otherwise you'll have to start over.

Instead of 50% water changes, I basically changed out 2 gallons of qt water replacing it with dt water, putting newly mixed saltwater into the dt.

I did this for 1-2 weeks coming back from hypo. While you are not doing hypo, you still could do the water changes to help acclimate the fish. This benefited both the dt and the qt. And was the easiest part of the qt process.

changing out some water as we speak. I will also waiy until the fish are in the DT then I'll get the Flame and QT him.
