please show me your t5 only sps tanks

i'm mostly interested in nonzeovit or prodibio t5 tanks. wondering if using t5 without those additives are successful, but thanks anyways.

Cichlid67, you got any full tank shots? did you use white balance in your picture? it looks really blue and i'd like to see the natural colors of your corals. they really look healthy and colorful but the blue background makes it difficult to see the real colors. also what do you feed your tank and how often? you seem to have nice PE.

Cichlid67, that is really nice. in my opinion, one of the nicest 75 gal tank around. i take it your scrape/clean the back glass because i notice no coraline on the back glass. what do you feed your tank and how often? do you use zeovit, prodibio or any other supplements?

Yes we keep the tank clean as possible,I do nothing more than Bi-weekly 25% water changes and add B-Ionic 2 part.I do feed Oyster Eggs and the fish get both flake and frozen foods.
This tank has been established for a little over a year but some of the larger colonies were in a 55 that were moved over and I have added a few SPS frags in the last few weeks.Right now Im done adding fish and corals,going to keep up with my weekly maintenance and hopefully this tank will look alot better in the years to come....

Cichlid67, your SPS are just fab. Can I ask you how many watts you have in total?

I have 300watts of halide, so just curious what it costs for T5.

Cichlid67.....are you getting good growth ? Yours is the first T5 tank i've seen not use any daylight spectrum lamps which I figured you needed to use at least some of to produce the needed wavelength for some sps?

By the way....beautiful tank!

Using all blue bulbs is the same type of thing as only running 20k MH. I had all blue+ for a while before I took changed from all T5 to T5 plus MH. The growth was not as good (like when using 20k MH), but had great colors.

My last set of pictures look alot better, I added a Aquascience Special 15000k and a UV Actinic white 12000k bulb.I wish my tank had a 6 bulb setup instead of the 8,I tried a 6500k daylight but my colors get washed and its way too bright to take good pics.

I run two 4 in.fans in my sump and have a small clip on fan that cools the unit and we run the ceiling fan which is right above the tank.
I do not use the acrylic shield and have been changing bulbs at about 12 months or so,my pure actinic bulbs have about 18 months on them but going to change those out soon...

Even with all the blue color to the tank its looks completely different in person and running 8 bulbs puts out alot of light on a 75 gallon tank.My SPS grow very well,so far im pleased with the lighting combo and plan to upgrade the Tek to a Solar Flare,Aquatinics or the ATI..
