Please suggest 1 "wow" fish

I recently bought an 8 year old tank and successfully moved it 2 months ago.

Things are doing well. All he had was live rock, 2 large clowns, and sea anemone (4). No coral. I added a cleaning crew, fresh sand, a little more rock, and a lawnmower blennie.... I love this fish, by the way. What a personality!!

It is a 58 gallon corner tank. I want to add a decent amount of coral, but only 1 more fish.

I am thinking since only 1 more fish goes in, I want something special and has that wow factor.

Must be good in a 58 gal tank, play well with others, not chow on coral all the time, not be hiding in rocks constantly, and be relatively easy to keep....

I love this board. You guys who helped me with lights and help other newbies, deserve some serious recogniton.

Citron clown goby.

Doesn't have that "WOW" factor, but mine has a great personality, and hangs out right front and center of my tank. He seems to think he's the star attraction, because no matter where you look, he has to perch himself right in front of you on the glass.

Starcki Damsel is most certainly a WOW fish

Thanks guys. I will research a few of those. Dkuhlmann, love that pic. How big does it get? Last ?...if I want to get that fish (or any other specific 1), what's the best way? Online?ask my LFS to see if they can get it?

I'm gonna chime in on the wrasse suggestion. They come in tons of colors, plenty of reef safe choices and once you have one you'll understand the attraction: they are great fish!

+1 on the starcki damsel

I have a Starcki in my 75 gallon and love him. Striking colours.
My flame angel is such a beauty, always moving around showing off his bright red colour and does not touch my corals. I feed him well.

Not a fish but I have 2 blood shrimp. Beautiful, eat out of my hand, crawl all over my hand as I feed them. Wouldn't want to have a tank without them. They stay hidden until feeding time, though. The skunk cleaner shrimp is a wonderful, interactive invert. He stays out, front and center, all the time. I would recommend both.

Enjoy your new tank!

The Starcki Damsel gets to about 3" and needs min 30 gal tank. It's one of the most docile of the Damsels from what I've heard and read about it. Here is the link to it on Live Aquaria. It's a seasonal fish. Your LFS can probably get you one once they're being collected.

I'm wanting one last fish for my 40b and something that won't take crap from my Cherub Angel and I'm now leaning towards the Starcki. I was going to get my favorite fish the Ember Blenny but found out it gets cow turd brown when mature so the beautiful male Ember blenny is out. :lmao: I'm leaning strong towards the Starcki!

The only corals my Cherub messes with are Pocillopora and I have no idea why them. So I keep a large one in the tank so he leaves my LPS alone :D

Whatever "wow" fish you decide to get try not to get anything that is smaller than the clowns. I made this mistake.

The clowns have been the biggest animals in my tank since I setup mine at the end of last year and had been top dog since. I slowly added more fish, usually bigger or similar size without issues.

Recently I bought a very young Pacific Tang, the clowns where less than impressed to wake up and find someone in their territory and nipped him and did some a tiny amount of damage to the top of his Sailfin. That was a big mistake on my part and I should of been more careful. Since then they're all friends and the Pacific Tang is doing great. If you decide to buy something fantastic like I did, keep it's behavior and size in mind first before adding him to the tank as clowns (atleast in my case) are pretty damn aggressive, especially to new comers.

Dragonface pipefish are very interesting, but they do have there difficulties. It would be cool to get one but that blenny might not be too happy

Looks like a really mean fish considering he has two clowns already.
Well, considering the average price of one of these is over $2000, I doubt he would be getting one anyway.

But if he was able to afford one and indeed wanted one, I'm sure giving the existing clowns away wouldn't be an issue.

That being said, the Lightning Percula is the coolest fish I've come across, personally
