Please suggest a new timer

I knew that they were bad, but I figured I would wait and see.....my coralife timer has stuck twice in two days when it is supposed to snap on.

If someone has fixed this please clue me in.

However, in lieu of fixing it I would like to find another timer.

I would like one with split timers, like the coralife, on the same strip and am not thrilled of having two, individuals. I really liked the coralife compact design.....but the junk has to go........

If anyone knows of a timer strip simmilar to the coralife, but better, and is made for our applications, I would appreciate it...thanks Doug

I have 2 grasslin timers from drsfostersmith.com and they are easy to set and work perfectly.

I got my timers from Ace hardware. They are the "heavy duty" with the grounded plug on the front (not on the side) and a dial. As long as nothing is leaning up against the dial preventing it from turning, they work just fine. They are kind of bulky on a powerstrip but they work.

Did you buy the coralife new? If so, you may want to write to them via email like I did when I purchased some equipment that was faulty. I was amazed by there customer service. I stated that my digital thermometer was close to 2 degrees off my califbrated thermometer when they state on the box like .5 or 1 degree flux. A pretty petty complaint for a very cheap item I know  but anyways, no questions were asked I readily offered to send a reciept which he said was not necessary and didnt even want me to send the faulty one back!A brand new one(and very accurate ;) ) was shipped to my door 2 days later.

Point is, who knows? You may be very pleasantly surprised and may even save a few bucks from buying a new one. Plus it could help hundreds like yourself from buying more bad product if they(Coralife) can get a chance to look at there own possible design\fabrication flaws to improve there existing design.

Otherwise call home depot, I coulda swore I saw multiple outlet timed units at a reasonable price.

Thanks you....I really like the coralife, but have heard they are common to breaking.....Pretty cool to have a split timer, and a constant power source on one strip. Cleans things up a bit.
