Has anyone had any experience with making a plenum in a sump? Years ago I had some really good experience using this method in my main tank. My only negative effect was hardening of the substrate over period of time and sulfur leaks. However I was considering experimenting making a small plenum using reefmud in the sump. my thought would be that if any sulfur gas leaks it would escape before reaching the main tank. Any thoughts on this?
