Pls Help with ID

pretty sure it is a bta that is healthy was it in the shop for a while or freshly arrived?, dont reckon its a h.mag due to the positioning crispa would have more definate pointed tentacles

looks a bit like this minus the bubbles which can come and go

maybe I am wrong again, just a feeling

Other than it being 'lodged' in between the rocks rather than perched on top, I'd have said magnifica based on the tentacle shape, length, and density. Also, the disc area looks more magnifica to me as well.
After hearing that the base is more pink, I think magnifica is closer.
Of course, I'm no expert by any means. ;)

Yea, after it moving up to the top of the rocks, my guess is leaning even more towards magnifica...
It should be easier now to take a picture of the base if it is on top of the rocks now...
I highly doubt h. crispa, either magnifica or a big bta.

Isn't this fun?

I'm hooked on this thread, it's like a mystery movie or something, you just have to know how it ends! We know now that with a smooth underside it will not be crispa :) I'm eager to find out for sure though, so snap a pic if you can.

See, I told you that I would be wrong again. It just happened sooner than I expected. :)

Victoria, get a picture of the base of that thing before it heads back into the rocks.

Even though it is out on the rock right now, I think I'm going to throw in with adtravels and say its a BTA on the move to a new spot. I'm basing this on Victoria's description more than the picture (a little bit on the pic though). I think if Victoria would have seen colored verrucae on the column she would have told us. Magnificas don't always have visible verrucae, but the pink ones usually do.

I will say, if this is wild caught it is crispa, HOWEVER if this is tank raised or traded in from another hobbist, it HAS to be green bta.

I am gearing towards green bta.

put a maroon, tomato melanopus clown in there (wc) and if its hosting in 10 secs its a bta

Hey.

This is Bjarne Writing.. It is my wife that has this anemone in her tank :)

I'll make sure she snaps a pic of its base later this evening or tomorrow (her lil brother has the camera atm)

After what we've read in this thread and on numerous sites Victoria is pretty certain that it is a Green BTA. Its more or less identical to the pics that Ad posted.

We bought it at a local LFS and they in turn had gotten it from a local reefer that was getting out of the hobby. According to the original owner it was in fact a Green BTA, but tha LFS owner was pretty certain that it instead was a Crispa or maybe Magnifica.

We'll get back with a pic.

And we'd like to thank you all for trying to help us with this little mystery of ours ;)

Impossible to get a pic of the foot itself, but here is a photo of the underside of the 'disc'
