Plugged it in and troubles... geez

Well It just arrived I got the last controller (OLD setup) that proline sent before ending its relationship and shipping its stock back to GHL, did not take long of the eX to get an 1st old setup. Got charged an additional $120 for the ex from what is now listed and only got 1 4 outlet powerbar and 1 6 outlet.

Guess I would not be so Frustrated if when I plugged it in the display did not come on. I had to unplug it and try again but It did come on that attempt.. Then the ALARM light keeps blinking red even after a factory reset.

On top of that I cant get the computer program on my Vista laptop to download in english from the disk or web site (only german).

I'm not bad with computers, I can build them all day long, But I'm getting frustrated from the start with this so far....

Any help on the ALARM issue?

Also downloading software in english??

First: GHL is not reliable for what someone for which price from what retailer buys. In my opinion this statement is absolutely unnecessary here. This is a support forum. If you want to complain about retailer/distributors/pricing/in general then send me a PM or a mail directly, please.

This is now the second time someone tells this story. I have no idea who tells these truthless things. To make it clear: This is NOT true. Proline still has the stock and will send it to the new distributor in Canada. Additionally Aqua Digital Inc got shipments directly from us. There are no supply or support issues AT ALL!

Alarm "issue" -> i guess not on all inputs are sensors (pH, Temp, Cond., Redox) connected? If this is the case: an alarm occurs because ProfiLux checks if the sensor is present for security reasons.
If you don't use an input: deactivate this input, the alarm will be shut off. BTW: This is mentioned in the manual.

Software in English:
ProfiLuxControl is German AND English - its one program - the language can be adjusted.
Maybe you are talking about the installer. There you are right, the buttons are labelled in German. But it works like an English installer, the only difference "Weiter" = "Next".
We try to have an English installer for the next version 3.06

Let me chime in here for just one second. The biggest issue I find with profilux is if you do not read the instructions you will not know how to set it up. This should not be shocking since most things require you to read instructions before you proceed. So before you unbox your profilux, read the instruction manual. This will give you have basic idea of how the controller really works. 80% of the problems I have seen on profilux support forums can be answered simply be referring back to the instruction manual (even a few questions I have asked). I am very impressed with the quality of the profilux and the support from GHL and distributors.

As the North American Distributors, I feel YET AGAIN we have to clarify the GHL situation

1. There are no supply issues with GHL, we have weekly deliveries. Yes at present we are low on stock until next week, purely due to the massive damand we have experienced this last week. ALL items will be back in stock late next week, customs providing.

2. We, Aqua Digital Inc support ALL clients whether they are past present or emerging, it is not uncommon for me to be up at midnight on the phone to a client walking them through a set up that could have been answerd by reading the first two pages of the manual. 4. We are not liable for previous distribution pricing structures, if you purchased a kit before the change and now see a different kit, I am sorry this is not anything we can do about. However we do have a strong and very monitored pricing structure in place with all our retailers, eliminating any price hikes or dumps.

5. IF you have any concerns, here any rumours (and there seem to be many at the moment) please contact us directly or send us copies of this communication.

GHL is growing massively and is here to stay, our retail network is growing by the week and we will continue to support all of you. There are some very big announcements early next year, many of which some of you perosnlly have asked for and GHL are working on right now. In 6 months the ProfiLux we believe will be the most functional devise on the market today.

If however we see anymore crazy rumours appear on this hugely informative forum, that is here to help suport and advise, we simply will delete that post as it is purely irrelevant.
