Plugging profilux view II and PC connection..

Hello,

Are you supposed to be able to plug the LAN card directly into a PC or laptop network jack??? or does it have to be a router???

Since the profilux view II takes up the RS232 output of the profilux, does everybody who has a view II also have a LAN or WLAN card, or is there some other way of running both items without a LAN card???

All as to do with the wire, if you go to a router you need a regular network cable, but if you want to go to PC you will need a "Cross-Over" cable unless you computer does the cross-over by itself (rare). I would think that you would require a lan card to run them both!

great idea on the crossover cable... would not have thought of that!!! I'll have to order one since I am already using the only one I have.

Just make it
