Plugs

I think it is like a 4 to 1 ratio, please don't take my word on that you are going to have to try it first. I have been told that it takes around 8 weeks to cure the plugs. Seems like a lot less work to get them off line, tey are not that heavey on the pocket, unless you are going through a ton of them.
Good luck and please keep us posted.

You should be able to find many posts in the Do-It-Yourself forum. Personally, I've moved away from using frag plugs and glue frags to live rock rubble instead. I think it looks better once they get settled in the tank.

same here. i got a 25# bag of rubble from bulkreef (mostly to make a rubble-zone in my sump) and the stuff is perfect for frags.

Thanks everyone. I'm thinking of making custom frags of various sizes and shapes. In particular, templates for zoanthids and encrusting montipora.

I cant find the thread right now. But to make molds people use a tray of sand and make the molds out off them. Like playing in a sand box. You can get whatever shape you want, and once the piece dries take it out smooth the sand and go again.

to make disks, just slice some pcv into rings to use as molds.

but i have *plenty* of this rubble if you want any...
