New 90g overflow tank setup. have a 30g sump with submersible mag 9.5 pump. I know nothing of how to plumb it. how should it be setup from coing from the all glass megaflow tank into the sump, and back into the tank.. what kinds of plumbing parts are needed?

thanks again, everyone has been extremely helpful with all my questions this far, apprecaite it!

Mine tank is plumbed with a PVC drain to the sump, and flexible tubing to the return. I have screwed disconnects at both those locations. I also have two ball valves one in the drain line going to sump, to be able to shut it down and also another one from my sump to the external pump, just in case.

ball valve is just a device that gets put in the line so you can turn off flow right? would I want one of those for my drain line and maybe one that regulates flow in the return.. so can have it wide open, little bit or completely off?

Durso in the overflow, bulkhead in the bottom tank hole, PVC coming out under the bulkhead, PVC union, whatever kind of pipe you want going to the sump (PVC, spa-flex, etc), water goes through the sump to the return pump, PVC coming up out of the pump, PVC union, whatever pipe you want going back towards the tank, I put a ball valve in this return line so I could turn back the return water flow a little if I wanted to, continue with return line to below tank, another PVC union, I then used rigid PVC in the overflow and connected a loc-line flexible pipe for the in-tank return.

Only problem with a ball valve in the drain line is that the day is bound to come where you shut that thing to do whatever work in your sump, then when you finish your work and flip the switch to turn everything back on....but forget to open that ball valve. Suddenly you have an overflowing tank. I can't think of a real reason to have a valve on my drain line. If the power is off, the drains drain until they get below the level of the durso opening and then they stop.
