Plumbing adapter?

Hi i have a danner mag 5 with a what looks to be 1/2" outlet threaded male.
I got a eshopp return U tube for the top and got 3/4" clear tubing from the lfs. He said it would work but i can slip the 3/4" tubeing over the return pump outlet.
Is there an adapter or should i just try to jam it on there?

If you put the end of the vinyl tubing in a pan with boiling water for a couple minutes it will become very pliable. Slip it on, then cool it off under the sink. It will snug itself on so tight you might then have to cut it off in the future. You can also use a zip tie or two on it while still soft to really fasten it on.
