Plumbing finally done on the 29 gallon

here i go again with the crazy flow and plumbing. started with a moded wet-dry now working as a sump from aka gwrench and cpr100 from gwrench. with a 1" drain rated at 800 gph. using a mag18 for the return and to run the 150 sealife skimmer from brannon and becca. flowing aprox 800 gph through the skimmer with a larger resriction on the outlet side and it's pulling massive muck within mintues. thinking on putting a buckett injector on it to increase the air input. still working on putting a custom filter insert into the sump. plumbing is returned via 2 3/4" returns. trying to fit a mag 5 for closed loop with a squid but dosn't look like there will be enough room. here are some pics and let me know of any ideas you guys have.

yea but i dont use the purple stuff or a tape measure. i don't measure i just cut twice:lol:

If you dont use the purple stuff what is that run on the piping coming from the overflow box?????? Do you steal a piece of pipe from me while I was away???? hmmmm bettter check the rest of my stuff!!!!

hey ben thanks. did a 175 14k until tonight when someone can't say how knocked the light fixture into the water and cracked the bulb. getting another from mr. wesa the equitment god. supplement with 2 24" vho's. lights the tank up nice. the bulb that was in there was a hamilton and man it's blue.

well that was the plan but that's the bulb that my wife knocked the temp canopy into the tank. now have another 14k with almost the same par. but the color is also up my alley.

amazing what a sealife skimmer will do with alittle work. the muck in the collection cup was from 8 hours of running. best bang for the buck when it comes to skimmers
