Plumbing Help ASAP Please!!

hey guys i just recently got a HOB Sump and the conector part from the pump to the sump was broken, and its on the treads so everythign i have tried to fix it dosent work. I went to Home Depot and the guy said that in order to use pvc pipe with 90* elbos i would need to seal them and it would harm the fish. is there anything to use to fix this problem?

The glue that is used to connect pvc pipe will be of no harm to your fish tank as long as you let it cure for the rocommended time. Myself as well as many reefers use pvc pipe on their tanks, it will be fine to do it on yours.
