Plumbing help

Hi,
After the third leak in three months from my sump tank (2 split seams and a connection that decided to come completely apart in the middle of the night, i have decided to go for a cannister type filter and I want to still use the overflow and bulkheads so that I don't have pipes inside the tank.

The tank has two holes in the overflow (35mm and 55mm) and I was wondering if anyone knew what connectors I would need to connect from the bottom of the bulkheads to the filter?

The filter is a Fluval 306 and the box says the diameter of the pipe is 17mm, not sure if that is internal or external.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

You need a "barbed" fitting that fits into the ends of the tubing and then some adapters to attach to the bulkhead..

Not sure what stores you have but in the US a simple trip to the plumbing aisle of the Home Depot or Lowes would have everything you need..
