Plumbing Noise

The water rushing through my plumbing is making so much noise , I have to do something . I think I need to build a box to surround the plumbing , and cover it with foam . How does that sound ? Any other ideas . Ted

I had foam on the pluming of my 150.

A lot, if you have room you could get a 4x8 sheet of foam insolation for HD and cut it to make a box.

Is it that much louder then it was?

I think it's about the same , but it was too loud before . It may be a little louder . I want it as quiet as your set up is , if that is possible . Ted

Ted where is the noise coming from? is it the waterfall, gurgling, or down the pipe?
The gurgling was loud in the new setup until the slime built up on the pipes. also the hose in the stockman made a world of diffrence. The only place you hear water now is in the sump. even that is not loud enough to be a problem.
Wan't some help let me know.

Can't wait to hear how loud mine is going to be with an open area. I am guessing that I will be creating a backside to the stand for noise control.

Thanks Steve . Well Steve came over today , and we worked on getting a lot of noise out of my system . After we got the noise problem cleared up , we built two MH reflectors . We had a full day . Thanks again Steve , Ted

IF you find a tank using solar tubes, I would love to tag along and see it in action.

Still fine tuning things, but we're looking all right.
