Hi All,
I am in the process of setting up my tank and creating a plan for the plumbing. The existing plumbing won't work because I have a new sump and return pump so I have to rearrange everything.
If you take a look at my million dollar art attached, you'll see the current set up vs. the new set up. The current set up has a small sump so you'll see the return pump sits in the center of the tank with PVC going straight up then T(ed) off so the water moves evenly to the right and the left so it's all even.
I don't know much about plumbing so here's my question. If you look at the new set up, you'll see the sump is a lot larger and the return will sit just under the right hand overflow and not center like it currently is. My only concern is that now the piping and flow aren't even. The new way the PVC would go straight up right into the overflow and pumped out but for the left return it would have to travel all the way left then up and then out. It's not all even and centered like before. With this set up I don't know if this would be a problem with the pressure from the water as the right hand side would move more quickly into the tank than the left?
Maybe I'm just creating more problems then there really is. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!!
