I want to figure out a better way to hook up my RODI waste line to the waste line of my sink/disposal/dishwasher. How Do I do it and want unit do I hook it up to?

mike is the kitchen sink the best option for you? what about your laundry room? I can come out and give ya a hand if the sink is the best route!

No laundry room. Kitchen sink is all I really have. Maybe the bathroom put I want a permanent place for the waste line. Not just shoving it down the drain every time I turn it on

Mike, Drill a 1/4" hole in the P trap and push the 1/4" drain line in that then silicone the hole around the line.

If the RO/DI unit is higher than the drain line, back flow won't be an issue. If it is lower than the drain line, the only back flow will be if the P trap fills up. It still would be on the outside of the membranes.

I'd be putting a check valve on it just in case. I'd be concerned with vapor more than water so I'd go above the trap and below the sink drain.

Do you have a dishwasher? If so you might be able to use that drain. Newer houses have an open ended drain for the dishwasher. It looks like an air vent for the plumbing, but it is where you put the drain for the dishwasher.
